Shipping Methods and Costs
Most of our products will be shipped within the 48 contiguous United States via UPS Ground. However, some orders will give you the chance to choose your preferred shipping method. Depending on your selection, shipping fees will then be added to your total prior to the completion of your orders.
Shipping costs are based on the shipping method, as well as the weight and size of the total of the parts ordered.
Shipping to P. O. Boxes
Most parts cannot be shipped to a P.O. Box, please include your physical address as the ship-to address for fast delivery. UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. Box.
Large Item Special Shipping
Large or heavy items, including most engines and transmissions, require freight shipping. We will ship all heavy or odd shaped parts via freight truck to either a business with docking capabilities, local freight terminal, or residential addresses with an included liftgate.
Most oversized items leave the warehouse within 2 business days, and arrive 3-10 business days after leaving the warehouse.
Providing a residential address for freight delivery may delay your shipment since the delivery company will contact you by phone to schedule a delivery date and time window. An adult must be available to accept, inspect, and sign for the delivery.
The freight trucking company is not responsible for unloading the items from the truck, or carrying the parts into the building. Your item is likely to be heavy and large; therefore, we recommend having a forklift or a friend to help unload the item and bring it inside. The total charge does not include inside delivery or removal of cartons.
Upon delivery of your order, you should immediately inspect the freight item for any potential damage that may have occurred during shipment. Carefully inspect the packaging, as well as the contents of the package.
Parts Damaged During Shipping
You should inspect your automotive parts upon delivery. If you find that the parts you have received are damaged, accept the package, but make a note of the damage on the shipping receipt, sign and date it. The delivery person should also sign the slip, and leave a copy for your records. Then, immediately contact Stricker Auto Parts at 800-543-2748 Please have your order number available when you call.
Making a Claim
-
1. Upon delivery of the damaged parts, make a note of the damage on the shipping receipt, sign, and date it. The delivery person should also sign the slip, and leave a copy with you. No claims will be allowed without such notes being made.
-
2. Take a digital photo of the damaged items.
-
3. Save any damaged material, and have it available for pickup. If you submit a claim for damaged material and do not have the damaged material ready for us to pick up when we deliver the replacement parts, you will be billed for the replacement material and freight to get it to you.
-
4. If you refuse a replacement order, you will be charged the original freight cost, and any restocking fees that might apply.
**The freight charge listed on your invoice may not be the actual freight cost. In some cases, a portion of the actual freight cost may include packaging and handling fees. We will cover shipping charges in the event of a damage to the item due to shipping.
